A blessing to the One who has left us:
"May you continue to inspire us: to enter each day with a generous heart, to serve the call of courage and love until we see your beautiful face again in that land where there is no more separation; where all tears will be wiped from our mind. And where we will never lose you again.” John O'Donohue, To Bless the Space Between Us
Grief can be described as shock, confusion, emptiness, uncertainty. Our faith tells us our beloved has not ceased to exist but instead has transitioned closer to God. And yet even that hope can be confusing.
Lakeview Multicultural United Church wants very much to be of help by supporting you and your family in your grief. We are here to listen, to pray, to simply be present and to help bear witness to the love of God in living and in dying. A Celebration of Life service is an important way in which to honour one who has died and to help family and friends acknowledge their loss.
Rev. Sally McShane and the elders within this community of faith can help you put together this service. A Celebration of Life is a deeply personal experience. The eulogy, the sacred readings, the music and the prayers as well as other aspects of the service are chosen to reflect a celebration of a life and to say Good-bye. We are here to support you whether you are a part of our church or the wider community.
