Last week, the UCC General Secretary, Nora Saunders, and Cheryl Jourdain, Acting Executive Minister for Indigenous Ministries and Justice, announced (link here) that Murray Pruden has been chosen to serve as the Executive Minister for Indigenous Ministries and Justice Circle in The United Church of Canada. His appointment was approved by the National Indigenous Council, and begins on July 1. Murray has been serving the Pacific Mountain Regional Council as Indigenous Minister. We are thankful for time we had, with Muarry's leadership and insight -- it's extremely exciting to know that the wider church will be getting to know and experience his skills, gifts and faithful leadership in his new role at the national church office.
